Introduction
Everyone needs a guardian angel… Pilots looking for a fast-opening, stable, ultra-lightweight reserve parachute with a compact pack volume can count on the ANGEL SQ PRO. The OZONE R&D team has poured its expertise into the design and development of the Angel SQ to bring this concept to the state of the art.
It comes with a short bridle designed to be attached to a harness that has its own integrated reserve bridle, or by adding an intermediate bridle. It pairs perfectly with the Ozium, BV, or F*Race ranges, but can also be fitted to any other harness or front container. A long Y-bridle is also available.
The Technology
The Angel SQ PRO features a relatively large surface area while remaining ultra-lightweight, giving it an exceptional sink rate and high stability combined with rapid deployment. Its generous size is the primary factor behind its excellent sink rate – all sizes of the Angel SQ PRO offer a generous margin relative to their certified weight range. The Angel SQ Pro stands out particularly for its pendulum stability, which can be even more crucial than raw sink rate performance.
Materials and Certification
The Angel SQ PRO is built from the highest quality materials: Dominico 10D and Cousin Dyneema line sets. The Angel SQ PRO is EN certified and available in sizes 85, 100, and 120. These materials were chosen for the optimal balance they provide in terms of durability, weight, and packing volume.
The Angel SQ PRO is EN and LTF certified according to EN 12491 and LTF 91/09 standards.
In Flight
The design of modern square emergency parachutes has repeatedly proven to offer significantly better pendular stability and sink rates than a conventional round parachute, alongside a remarkable opening speed, representing a major step forward for our safety. Although ultra-light, the Angel SQ PRO nevertheless features a relatively large surface area, giving it an exceptional sink rate.
