Ozone Zeolite 2 – EN-D Competition Paraglider

The pilots of the 2023 X-Alps demonstrated what the Zeolite 2 is capable of. It is the lightest of our high-performance wings, designed for pilots who need weight reduced to the absolute minimum and maximum performance to tackle the most ambitious bivouac flights and compete in the most challenging Hike and Fly competitions. The upper surface of the Zeolite 2 is made entirely of 10D fabric, and its risers are made of Dyneema.

The Design

The new profile incorporates our latest advancements in speed and maneuverability, which are primarily due to the new positioning of the air intake.

The aspect ratio, which has been increased very slightly, remains moderate for this category of wing and allows the wing to be flown in challenging alpine conditions. With 7 additional cells, stability and maneuverability in turbulence have been further improved while maintaining the low weight of the original Zeolite.

The Flight

With improved stability along the chord, particularly at the rear of the airfoil, we have enhanced passive safety and closure behavior. Although the airfoil is more stable, we have managed to reduce the total drag of the lines. Across the wingspan, we’ve adopted a new architecture consisting solely of groups of three cells, as developed on the Photon. This achieves the optimal ratio between the number of diagonal reinforcements and the number of line attachment points, allowing us to maintain a lightweight structure while improving performance.
