Building on the first generation ofWindsriders (K2) sleeves—which have been highly appreciated by hundreds of pilots—we’ve created an amazing new version that’s even warmer, larger, easier to use during takeoff, and guaranteed to keep you warm even at the highest altitudes! With each new version, we’ve significantly improved the system, andthe 2025 version is the ULTIMATE culmination of our efforts. We’rethrilled with the result, the quality, and the technical sophistication of this product—we’re sure you’ll love it!
These Everest Super Sleeves (as a reminder, 8,848 meters—the roof of the world) always pack tightly into a small bag, so they’ll take up minimal space in your harness. A pair weighs around 200 grams. Each sleeve is generously filled with 700 Cuin super down. You can also use them to protect your instruments in your backpack.
Read: High-quality down vs. synthetic fibers (such as Primaloft and other petroleum-based materials)
One size fits all.
How do they differ from the K2 Sleeves?
–The sleeve length, which covers even moreof the forearm.
–The overall volume of the sleeve, with larger cells filled with even more of that superb 700 Cuin down.
– The automatic closure system, which is purely magnetic (no more zippers or fiddling after takeoff)
The magnetic closure makes it easy to put on, whether you’re wearing the sleeves on your forearms, bare hands, or thin gloves. Once in the air, simply slide the Everest sleeve onto the brake handle and, with your other hand, press the magnetic closure. It takes just 2 seconds—it’s that simple! Here’s a demo of the closure.
Inside, your hand is free to move, coming into contact with the handle and the brake line without any hindrance. Secure the sleeve using the small internal Velcro strip, which will press against the brake line without interfering with its movement in any way.
The sleeve is made of 700 Cuin Super Down and lined at the bottom with soft black synthetic fur.
Isolation at the wrist is ensured by wearing a down jacket such asthe ReverseorThermique Light. The natural loft of the sleeves on these jackets allows them to “snap into place” perfectly within the cuff, without the need for a drawstring. The sleeve’s volume keeps the lower opening in shape, making it much easier to slip your hands in and out—whether you need to tinker with something, adjust an instrument, or take photos.
– Two small loops, sewn onto the bottom of the Everest sleeve, allow you to attach an elastic cord if desired, as some pilots do with “Acro” control handles ” control handles. The elastic band (not included) attaches to the harness or the connecting link, ensuring the sleeve stays taut and stable. It’s a matter of personal preference, but be aware that it makes takeoff a bit more difficult when set up this way.
Who is this new “magnet” version of the Ultime Everest sleeve designed for?
For pilots who fly often—even in winter—and want the ultimate in thermal comfort, with ease of use as an added bonus. Its use, incidentally, isn’t limited to flying; it can also satisfy mountaineers while camping or hiking.
Unconventional uses… On skis, by bike, on a motorcycle, in an autogyro, or in a small plane. By permanently attaching the sleeve to your handlebars, your control stick…
