Description

The Sublite is an ultra-light competition harness designed for hike-and-fly. Proven in the X-Alps and other major events, it stands out for its efficiency and ease of use. Weighing just 1.5 kg in size M, it features targeted reinforcements for optimal durability and draws on Ozone’s R&D expertise, enhanced by feedback from top-level pilots.

The Pilot

The Sublite is designed for race pilots and demanding cross-country pilots seeking maximum lightness and aerodynamic performance. Its “Submarine”-style fairing improves maneuverability and safety in challenging conditions. Intended for pilots already familiar with this design, it offers precision, comfort, and flight efficiency that are perfectly aligned with Ozone’s philosophy.

Technology

The Sublite combines the innovations of the F*Race 2 and Submarine for an optimal balance between ultra-lightweight design and durability. The seat, reinforced with 3D Dyneema and supplemented by PETG and carbon fiber reinforcements, enhances comfort and control while reducing weight.
The ergonomic straps make it easy to get set up, with a removable cockpit pocket for quick gear access. The reserve parachute, ideally positioned, remains easily accessible. All pockets are accessible in flight, including a large rear compartment.
The ultra-lightweight foam protection and Nitinol nose ensure a very compact pack size and rapid inflation of the canopy.

In flight

The Sublite sets up in an instant thanks to its ergonomic strap system: one move, one clip, one zipper, and you're ready to go. The magnetic closure automatically ensures a watertight, wrinkle-free seal.

In flight, the glide performance is remarkable. The semi-reclined position and the 3D ergonomic seat provide excellent comfort, great agility in thermals, and an optimal posture for efficient transitions. Measurements confirm a sink rate improvement comparable to that of the Submarine, resulting in a real performance gain without increasing the wing’s demands.

Certification

The Sublite is certified to EN 1651-2018 for pilots weighing up to 115 kg. The EPP back protector recorded a maximum impact peak of 42 G during certification.
