The DELIGHT was developed under demanding conditions: those of the X-Alps, where every gram counts and where equipment must withstand extreme conditions. The first generations were therefore very lightweight harnesses, designed for hike-and-fly competitions.
Over time, the product’s philosophy has evolved. The DELIGHT has gradually transformed into an accessible cross-country harness capable of accommodating a wider range of pilots. Since the third generation, the goal has been clear: to offer a reassuring, comfortable, and easy-to-use harness. The DELIGHT 5 is fully in line with this tradition.
While previous versions had gained in comfort and features at the expense of added weight, this new generation takes the opposite approach. The design team has managed to reduce the weight by about 450 g compared to the DELIGHT 4—nearly 10 percent—while maintaining the same level of comfort, support, and protection.
The DELIGHT series is built on a frame known for its stability. The carbon seatplate provides precise seating and firm support, allowing the pilot to stay focused on their flight path without being distracted by unwanted movements. The harness filters input and smooths out the wing’s responses, which improves flying comfort, especially with modern wings that are often very responsive.
The DELIGHT 5’s enveloping canopy is designed to provide precise support over time. The wraparound seat effectively supports the pilot, enhances the feeling of security, and reduces fatigue during long flights. This ergonomic design makes it suitable for both experienced pilots and those looking to make the switch to their first cross-country canopy.
In terms of safety, the DELIGHT 5 offers a high level of protection. The full-back PLASTAZOTE© protection extends from the nape of the neck to the lower thighs, providing immediate protection as soon as the paraglider is deployed, regardless of the direction of impact. The frame’s stability also makes it easier to control the wing in challenging conditions.
This fifth generation also represents a step up in terms of details and ergonomics. Notably, it features a magnetic cockpit, a magnetic speedbag, an optimized parachute pocket, and more refined finishes.
The DELIGHT 5 is designed, above all, to achieve balance: the kind that allows you to fly for long periods without fatigue, stay calm in challenging conditions, and improve your cross-country flying skills.
A harness designed to help you get the most out of every flight.
Optimized comfort and meticulous craftsmanship
This fifth generation manages to reduce its weight by about 450 g (nearly 10% compared to the DELIGHT 4) without compromising on ergonomics or durability.
Comfort comes from a snug, enveloping fit combined with thigh-high leggings that provide precise support, perfectly suited for long hours of flight.
This move upmarket is also reflected in the equipment: a magnetic cockpit and speedbag for simpler, more intuitive use, as well as an optimized parachute pocket.
All of this, combined with exceptionally high-quality craftsmanship, results in a harness that is both effective in flight and comfortable to use on a daily basis.
Endurance and Efficiency in Long-Distance Flight
The DELIGHT 5 is designed for long-distance flying, with a clear goal: to combine performance and comfort over extended periods. By prioritizing stability and minimizing fatigue, it allows you to tackle long transitions with greater ease.
Its ergonomic design is intended to minimize unwanted support and provide a precise fit, suitable for both experienced pilots flying high-performance wings and those trying out their first canopy.
By striking the right balance between lightness and support, it makes for an ideal harness for covering long distances with ease and fully enjoying cross-country flying.
Passive and Active Safety
The DELIGHT 5 emphasizes comprehensive protection to give the pilot peace of mind during every phase of flight.
Its passive safety features rely on high-performance structural foam that extends from the nape of the neck to the lower thighs, providing consistent protection regardless of the direction of impact.
In terms of active safety, the stable and responsive chassis allows for precise control of the vehicle’s path without being affected by air turbulence.
By filtering and smoothing out the wing's responses, the harness reduces fatigue and makes it easier for the pilot to maneuver when conditions become more challenging.
