Ozone Buzz Z7 – EN-B paraglider for beginners

The Z7 is designed for pilots who fly about 30 to 50 hours a year and are looking for a glider they can rely on to accompany them on their first cross-country flights, offering a high level of passive safety.

The new Buzz 7 retains the legendary ease of use and high level of passive safety that characterize this line, while also benefiting from the latest technical advances from our R&D department.

• New planform with greater sweep for improved roll stability.
• New orientation of the internal profile fabrics for improved airflow.
• The position of the line attachment points has been modified to improve stability during accelerated flight.
• New leading-edge assembly with additional reinforcements to achieve a cleaner profile.
• New line configuration for load distribution that improves agility.
• New cutout design for the trailing-edge panels to improve the flying experience.

The combination of all these refinements improves the wing’s handling and performance. The feel at the controls is more linear and direct—this is the most noticeable difference—and it provides greater agility and more precise handling. The maximum speed has also been increased, and glide efficiency has been improved across the entire speed range.

We pay close attention to this category of wings because they are used by a wide range of pilots with very different profiles; the Z7 is the most well-rounded wing we have produced in this “true B” category. It’s truly fun to fly, capable of taking you on cross-country flights, and all with the highest level of passive safety available in the category.

The Z6’s fabrics have proven to combine lightness and durability, which is why we chose to keep them. The lower lines are now sheathed and come in different colors; combined with new, easier-to-use risers, they help simplify takeoff preparation as much as possible.

The wing’s weight is identical to that of its predecessor, and it remains light enough to provide excellent inflation in all conditions. We paid particular attention to the design of the leading edge, incorporating new reinforcements intended to increase its strength across the entire speed range. In particular, these new reinforcements eliminate flutter during accelerated flight, thereby improving glide efficiency at high speeds.
