The LYNX 2 is our lightweight EN-C wing. It offers excellent cross-country performance and a high level of comfort for its class. It is designed to inspire confidence even in the most challenging flying conditions and keep you safe when you let your wild side loose in the mountains.

We opted for a 2.5-line hybrid design for this wing for several reasons: a two-line wing would require more support rods in the canopy, resulting in a larger pack size. We wanted the LYNX 2 to be easy to pack and compact for hiking and competition.

The Lynx 2 is also much easier to roll in for a safe landing at the top in wild terrain, as the three-line configuration in the center of the wing offers a wide braking range and forgiving stall characteristics. It is also incredibly easy to take off.

Public
The Lynx 2 is the ideal partner for cross-country pilots who travel light and in complete freedom, and for those who move quickly in their habitat without leaving a trace. It is ideal for hike-and-fly races in the mountains, where its efficiency and performance are combined with excellent safety and relaxed handling. It is also ideal for the new series class competitions. Competitive, it is also accessible to pilots moving up from class B.

Designer notes
Weighing between 3.2 kg and 4.3 kg across five sizes, the LYNX 2 is one of the lightest wings in its class, without sacrificing durability. We used 32 g/m² fabric in strategic areas to reinforce the leading edge where it is most needed. We also sacrificed a few grams on the risers by choosing easy-to-handle 12 mm Kevlar-reinforced straps instead of Dyneema laces.

The LYNX 2 is more accessible and easier to fly than the CURE 2, with slightly lower aspect ratio and cell count.

Lightweight, responsive, and precise, its maneuverability and performance feel give it the sensations of a two-line wing and similar performance, while offering the safety, lightness of rear riser steering, and maneuverability characteristics of a three-line wing. Tyr flew a pre-production LYNX 2 in Costa Rica and said it was very relaxing in strong and turbulent conditions. "You can do almost the entire flight on the rear risers!"

An impressive braking range and good low-speed handling allow the LYNX 2 to land easily at height or squeeze through tight spaces. This is one of the reasons why we opted for a 2.5-line hybrid design rather than a two-line design.

The new lifts feature an improved acceleration system and a lightweight, efficient rear lift steering system. The LYNX 2 is incredibly efficient to ride!

The LYNX 2 uses our innovative Spiral Safety System. A rib without cross vents, just inside the stabilizer, allows the wing's end cells to lose pressure when the wing is in a deep spiral. This allows the wing to automatically recover from the deepest spirals, without any pilot intervention.
