Now manufactured using DURABLE LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE, the IOTA DLS is a lightweight wing. This development milestone marks the beginning of a new era—without compromising on strength and durability.
Actual Performance
The wing’s high pitch stability conserves energy and converts it into performance, particularly when gliding in turbulent air. Even higher performance results from a 4% reduction in the surface area of the lines and the sophisticated 3×3D shaping. The latter gives the IOTA DLS a perfectly smooth leading edge.

3x3D-SHAPING
The next evolution of 3D-Shaping is called 3×3D-Shaping. Thanks to an even finer gradation, the leading edge—which is highly curved and sensitive to airflow—is smoothed out even further. The result: a wrinkle-free leading edge and a smooth upper surface for improved performance.
EFFECTIVE PITCH CONTROL
The IOTA DLS features a modern Pitch Control System with C-line handles. The system transmits inputs from the C-lines to the B-lines, so the airfoil does not deform. This allows the wing to remain controllable via the C- and B-lines, even during accelerated flight, and provides the true sensation of flying a two-line wing.
EDELRID PRO DRY ULTRA-MODERN CLIMBING CARABINERS
The IOTA DLS is fully equipped with Edelrid Pro Dry lines in different colors. This new generation of unsheathed lines is an evolution of the proven Aramid 8000 lines and offers 60% greater water repellency. Extremely dimensionally stable, this line features above-average breaking strength, even after prolonged use.
