Description
Description
The Rush 6 is the wing with the best glide ratio and the best cross-country performance in its class. During its development, we conducted extensive comparisons in which the Rush 6 demonstrated a significant performance advantage over every other wing we tested it against. Like the Delta 4, from which it is directly derived, the Rush 6 features all the performance-enhancing technologies found on the Enzo and Zeno.
Vraie Performance
Hundreds of flight hours have been logged in the turbulent air conditions of the Southern Alps to ensure that the high level of passive safety we demand is achieved. The Rush 6 is perfectly in line with our philosophy of True Performance—its excellent glide ratio shines in the active air conditions encountered during cross-country flights, across the entire speed range.
Nouvelles Technologies
The wing’s structural integrity during high-speed flight has been further enhanced by adopting a new airfoil and optimizing the internal structure, not to mention the “ACR” risers, which allow for active control without compromising the airfoil’s structural integrity. The Rush 6’s structure—the strongest we have ever developed—maintains the airfoil’s integrity even in turbulent conditions, preventing the performance losses associated with deformations along the chord line.
ACR System
The new Active Control Risers (ACR), derived from the Delta 4, allow you to control the angle of attack without changing the profile’s camber. By acting on both the B and C lines, the ACR lets you control the wing like a 2-line wing while maintaining the comfort of a 3-line design.
Conception
In terms of design, the Rush 6 is an evolution of the Delta 4, and the two are identical in every respect. The aspect ratio has been deliberately kept moderate to maintain the ease of use, flying enjoyment, and passive safety of previous Rush models. Performance gains were achieved through modifications to the line configuration—now a 3/2-line system—new 3D cutting patterns for the leading edge, and optimization of the trailing-edge mini-ribs, ultimately resulting in a significant reduction in parasitic drag and, consequently, improved performance across the entire speed envelope.
Patented Shark Nose Profile
We haven’t rested on our laurels, and the Shark Nose profile has evolved significantly since Ozone first introduced it in 2011. The version featured on the Rush 6 not only offers improved stability, performance, and comfort, but it’s also robust under over-pilotage, making the wing particularly resistant to stalling and spinning out. The leading edge is equipped with G-strings that help maintain its shape during accelerated flight and reduce vibrations, thereby lowering drag.
Le Décollage
The inflation performance is a significant improvement over that of the Rush 5. We worked on the leading edge until we achieved a zero-wind takeoff comparable to that of our easiest wings: it takes off with little effort and at a speed that’s easy to control. In strong winds, it handles well and doesn’t tend to get ahead of the pilot.
En Vol
In flight, a slightly higher top speed and a more dynamic flying feel make it seem as though the Rush has been fitted with a turbo; it feels closer to the Delta in terms of handling. The force required on the controls changes linearly—precise in the first range and firm in the second. The structure maintains perfect cohesion across the wing’s span and chord, a plus for climb performance.
Le Pilote
Highly accessible yet playful, with a high maximum speed and a high level of passive safety, the Rush 6 is a wing that will provide immense enjoyment to a very wide range of pilots. EN B-certified, it is ideal for intermediate-level recreational pilots with some experience and cross-country pilots who fly at least 50 hours per year.
