The new design of its internal structure makes this sporty distance glider not only more efficient, but also lighter. The Mini Ribs with nitinol rods at the leading edge and the Durable Lightweight Structure, which perfectly balances lightness and strength, contribute to this. The SIGMA DLS is available from 3.70 kg.
Performance gain
With the new profile, the front miniribs ensure that the leading edge, which is important for fluid mechanics, retains its precise shape. The resulting high stability of the profile contributes significantly to the performance gains of the SIGMA DLS (compared to the SIGMA 11). Overall, it continues to meet the usual requirements of pilots from the previous series.

Super-elastic Nitinol springs reduce storage volume and increase durability, as they do not deform even under heavy loads.

DURABLE LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE (DLS)
DLS combines a series of small but important innovations that together enable a considerable reduction in weight. The mix of lightweight and traditional materials is even better suited, and targeted geometric optimization saves even more material.
MINI RIBS ON THE LEADING EDGE
The nitinol Mini Ribs placed at the leading edge allow the wing to maintain a precise shape in this area, which is critical for fluid mechanics. Detailed calculations on the effect of the Mini Ribs show optimal profile fidelity in all flight conditions.
EFFECTIVE PITCH CONTROL
The SIGMA DLS features a modern pitch control system with C-handles. The system transmits the impulses from the C-line to the B-line, so the profile does not deform. This means that the wing remains controllable via the C/B lines, even in accelerated flight, and provides a real feeling of flying under a two-line wing.
EDELRID PRO DRY HIGH-TECH SUSPENSIONS
The SIGMA DLS is equipped with lines that are extremely stable in length and have above-average tear resistance, even after numerous flights. The unsheathed Pro Dry lines have different colors and are 60% more water-repellent than the previous generation of lines.
