Gin Switch 2 Harness

The Switch 2 is a reversible airbag harness with separate leg loops and a rescue container under the seat. It is versatile, easy to use, and adjustable to fit all sizes. Weighing only 2.4 kg, the Switch 2 is lightweight and compact without compromising on durability.

With no limits, it is suitable for everyday flying, hike & fly, schools, tandem passengers, mini-gliders, and travel. It has all the safety features you need and is comfortable enough to fly all day long.

GEOMETRY: ABS WITH SHORTS

The main innovation of the Switch 2 geometry is that it offers the advantages of a harness with leg loops while retaining the control of a plate harness.

Compared to a tray, thigh straps allow for compact storage and thus offer a true hike-and-fly harness. They also facilitate the running start and make it easy to transition to a seated position after takeoff. However, the separation of the thighs can sometimes be difficult for novice pilots to manage.

On the Switch 2, the leg straps are connected and help absorb aerodynamic movements that can throw beginner pilots off balance, just like a fixed-seat harness.

PREMIUM TRIPLE LOCK BUCKLES

The Edelrid triple-lock buckle is a new high-end semi-automatic buckle that is easy to open and close, yet very secure: even when the snap fasteners are engaged, it cannot open accidentally; its hooks hold the frame in place, making it "semi-automatic." 

These famous hooks, which are load-bearing elements, are made of high-strength steel alloy coated with KTL, while the plastic housing and snap fasteners are made of impact-resistant glass fiber reinforced polyamide.

ONE SIZE

The Switch 2 is easy to adjust for most pilot sizes. It is therefore very suitable for use with students in schools or tandem passengers. 

MINIMUM WEIGHT, MAXIMUM DURABILITY

Thanks to lighter yet more durable materials and, above all, a weight-optimized design and pattern, GIN has succeeded in reducing the overall weight while maintaining excellent wear resistance. The outer fabric of the harness is made from a new 70 Denia yarn – a nylon/polyester blend that retains a very good aesthetic appearance and is resistant to dust and abrasion.

SAFETY

The emergency container is located under the seat and connected to the harness by emergency attachment points on the shoulders. The zippered tunnel protects the emergency lines while providing quick and efficient access and a discreet, neat appearance.

AIRBAG WITH FRONT AIR INLET

The airbag features a pre-inflation system using titanium rods and a thin layer of foam, ensuring complete inflation within seconds of takeoff. The air inlet is located at the front, which improves durability and ensures smooth inflation and a very clean surface appearance.

DESIGN & COMFORTABLE

As for the backpack, the Switch 2 features an ergonomic back and foam padding for hikers' comfort.

Another unique feature is a double-skin system that allows the fabric of the harness to be separated from the fabric that may be damaged during transport.

BIAS-BANDED SEAMS

The internal seams are finished with bias binding, a mark of quality in haute couture.
