Sup'Air

Lightness, precision and safety are the key words of the STRIKE 2. It is the worthy heir to our long experience of hike and fly harnesses, particularly in competition. The STRIKE 2 is derived from our STRIKE X Alps 2019 and it takes up the main advantages of our STRIKE 1.

Weight: from 1947g to 2400g in size M depending on the configuration

Compared to the STRIKE 1, it is more ergonomic, more comfortable and more modular thanks in particular to an inflatable protection (optional). It is intended for competition hike and fly, bivouac and leisure pilots . It can also be the main harness for cross-country pilots looking for lightness .

Easy to install and secure with the harness closing on the two attachment points of the sail. The harness opens completely and closes directly on the carabiners without any other loop and on only two points.

The new geometry allows for better transmission of the sail to the pilot, fine and sensitive, adjustable by the spacing of the ventral.

Comfort is complete with a removable comfort plate, and a geometry of the speedbag attachments which allows a natural and effortless position of the legs. By selecting the AIR version, the harness will be delivered with its approved inflatable protection allowing you to save weight (65g) and especially the volume carried in the bag. Ideal for competitive hiking and flying as well as bivouac flight expeditions.

For mountain landings or in turbulence, the harness can be flown while seated, with legs bent; it remains easy to handle and comfortable.

At take-off, the race is easy (light harness with leg straps), the transition to sitting and installation in the speedbag are obvious.
In flight, the adjustments and geometry of the harness allow adaptations to the morphology and flight positions of each pilot.
Sitting with your back tilted back provides excellent support.

The STRIKE 2 was designed to also be flown with Dyneema connectors. This lightens the equipment and makes the leg straps fixed, like the X-Alps harness. You will then have to put on the harness like a harness. This is the “competition” mode.

COMPARED TO STRIKE 1:

  • New closure system, without buckle, directly in the carabiners. Avoids having to put the right leg in as on the STRIKE 1, while maintaining the security of the anti-forgetting, natural with two closing points. A single point closed: the harness is secure.
  • The Strike 2's new chassis geometry transmits information better to the rider and provides more precise handling than the Strike 1.
  • The parachute pocket's riser sheath is fully integrated: the risers are in the sheath all the way inside the pocket.
  • New geometry of the speedbag adjustments. The legs are supported in flight.
  • New harness geometry allowing for more reclined flight, with a rearward centering.
  • The harness is more resistant: approved for 120 kg instead of 100. Reinforcements at the emergency lifting attachments.
  • Revised sizing with the addition of an XL size. This allows for precise coverage and a good fit for riders from 1.60m to 2m…

RECOMMENDATIONS

The STRIKE 2 is a very lightweight harness. It has been reinforced compared to the STRIKE 1, however any use outside of the flight envelope is likely to cause premature wear of the harness. SIVs are not recommended with this harness.
The STRIKE 2 is a harness intended for experienced pilots, and we do not recommend it as a first harness.
