The THETA ULS is EN/LTF B approved and is aimed at pilots who have several years of practice, who fly regularly (more than 40 hours per year) and who already have good experience in thermal flight.
It requires an active piloting mode using the controls, the accelerator and/or the handles on the Cs. Pilots must be able to identify wing deformations as soon as they appear and counter them by means of appropriate reactions to the controls. . Additionally, they must be fully familiar with normal rapid descent techniques and be able to implement them if necessary.
