ULTRABIP: BLUETOOTH GPS LOGGER
UltraBip is a new GPS altimeter/variometer logger and Bluetooth voice assistant.
It is fully solar-powered and packed with the features that have made our instruments so successful—all in an ultralight design!
DESIGNED TO HELP YOU GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR FLIGHTS
Thanks to its built-in high-performance GPS receiver, the UltraBip records all your flight tracks and statistics. Now, feel even the slightest thermal thanks to our advanced Instant Vario technology.
The UltraBip also features our voice assistant, which is unique on the market. And our exclusive Dual-Audio technology rises to the challenge of delivering loud beeps and rich voice announcements while remaining energy-efficient.
Designed to adapt to all your paragliding activities, the UltraBip can be connected via Bluetooth to most flight apps or used as a standalone device. All this technology is powered by the sun thanks to our ultra-rugged SunPower solar cell.
Cross-country pilots, tandem pilots, and hike-and-fly enthusiasts will be eager to fine-tune the UltraBip’s endless settings for a fully personalized flying experience.
- GPS LOGGER SYSTEM
Records every turn.
With its built-in GPS and ultra-fast positioning, the UltraBip records all your flight paths—up to more than 10,000 flights!
When you get home, connect your UltraBip to your computer and easily view your flight path. For each flight, the UltraBip records your flight path in two formats (KML and IGC).
Simply open the KML file in Google Earth and relive your flight! The saved file includes all your statistics, such as maximum speed, maximum altitude, maximum G-force, total distance, and duration.
The saved IGC file is FAI-CIVL certified. Use it to report your flights to your federation (FFVL, DHV, SHV, USHPA, BHPA, etc.), or to view it in your favorite tracklog software, such as XContest, VisuGPS, IGC Webview, SportsTrackLive, and many others.
Even when it's connected, the UltraBip records your flight path, so you have backups.
- BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY
Wireless on the go.
The UltraBip connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to your smartphone or tablet (Android and iOS) as soon as you turn it on.
It allows you to use flight apps such as XCtrack, FlySkyHy, SeeYou Navigator, and many others, by sending highly accurate flight data such as altitude, speed, climb and descent rates, and more. It even sends GNSS (GPS) coordinates so that the smartphone’s internal GPS can be turned off, saving battery life for long flights. Additionally, the UltraBip’s GPS is much more responsive in terms of altitude than smartphone GPS systems.
The UltraBip is the essential companion to the Submarine harness for pilots seeking maximum performance in cross-country flying and competition.
Thanks to its compact size, the UltraBip can be mounted on the outside of the pressurized canopy without affecting the harness’s performance. This allows its sensors to operate accurately and provide reliable flight data via Bluetooth to the flight computer located inside the harness.
You can also add a display to your UltraBip using the ActiveLook smart glasses. By connecting the UltraBip via Bluetooth to the XCTrack app (Android), you can view all the flight data collected by the UltraBip’s high-precision sensors in real time on the screen of your ActiveLook glasses.
But if you want to travel light, the UltraBip can also be used as a standalone instrument.
- SMART SPEAKING ASSISTANT
The essentials. With just a double-tap.
Just listen to the voice of your new solar-powered assistant, and fly farther.
The UltraBip can speak periodically based on distance, altitude, or time, or on demand with a simple double-tap!
The UltraBip speaks in the language of your choice (17 different languages) and provides you with all the information you need for paragliding (altitude, speed, average rate of climb, time, heading, flight duration, and more).
All of this without interfering with the vario's beeps, and of course, since every pilot is unique, everything is customizable and can be turned off.
- SUNPOWER TECHNOLOGY
Fly on solar power.
Free your mind and go fly without worrying about the battery level!
The UltraBip is solar-powered and features a high-performance SunPower solar cell with an impressive output of 193 mW.
This new, thinner, and more discreet solar cell is reinforced with a sturdy layer of PET/EVA, providing it with high protection against impacts and scratches.
The device charges continuously, even when it is turned off. Excess solar energy is stored in a high-capacity internal battery, giving you more than 50 hours of battery life without sunlight*.
*with default settings: minimum volume, default Vario settings, auto-off voice, etc.
See theConfiguratorweb app for more information about the battery consumption of each feature.
- POWERFUL CONFIGURATOR
Unlimited customization.
The UltraBip is ready to go! Just turn it on and take off! With the default settings, it records your flight path, displays altitude, speed, and average climb rate on demand, and—of course—beeps when you’re in a thermal.
With theConfigurator web app, you can fully customize your UltraBip to make it even more powerful.
Activate the flight ceiling alarms to avoid entering the airspace of your next flight.
Turn on the automatic voice announcement mode, and choose which information you want to hear (altitude, speed, time, average climb rate, heading, and more).
And many more features!
All of this can be configured across 1 to 3 different profiles. Let's say you participate in three different activities: walk-and-fly, cross-country, and tandem. You can set up three profiles, one for each activity.
