XCTracer - Mini V

Variometer with no delay

Traditional variometers have the drawback of always displaying climbs and descents with a delay of varying degrees. With the Mini V, data from various sensors is combined using a complex mathematical process, eliminating this time lag. Thanks to the lag-free display of climb and descent, it is much easier to find and center thermals with a Mini V than with a traditional variometer.

And you can adjust the variometer sounds however you like; use thesound simulatorhereto do so.

GPS Logger

The XC Tracer Mini V simultaneously records IGC and KML files; IGC files are recognized by the FAI for paragliding competitions. And you can view the KML files directly in Google Earth.

Excellent battery life

Don't be surprised if you never need to recharge the Vario for an entire season! The Vario features a built-in lithium-polymer battery that, when fully charged, provides approximately 25 hours of continuous use, including operation of the ADS-L, FANET, and FLARM, data transmission viaBLE, andrecording of IGC and KML files. But since the battery recharges during flight thanks to the built-in solar cells, the battery life is virtually unlimited. If necessary, the battery can also be recharged using the included USB-C cable.

Safety First

The Mini V is equipped with ADS-L, FANET, and FLARM to protect you from collisions. Want to know where yourfriendsare? If you bring a smartphone with the right app, that’s no problem. The app receives ADS-L or FANET location signals from your buddies via your Mini V’s Bluetooth connection and displays them on your phone. With certain apps, you can even send text messages to your friends via Bluetooth and FANET. So it makes sense that your own Mini V continuously transmits your position via ADS-L, FANET, and FLARM. The Mini V is, along with the XC Tracer Maxx II, one of the few variometers in the world certified to the FCC’s strict standards.

In the worst-case scenario, if abuddydoesn'tshow up that evening, you can check your smartphone app to see where your buddy's vario last sent an ADS-L/FANET signal. If the app supports it, you'll find the latitude, longitude, altitude, and status. This information can be very helpful in locating a missing paraglider.

Bluetooth

The XC Tracer Mini V is equipped with a BLE 4.2 (Bluetooth Low Energy) module. This allows you to connect your app (see list) on your Android, iOS, or e-reader to the vario viaBLE.

Simply

Just one button—that's it. The button is used to turn the device on and off and to adjust the volume from 0 (no sound) to 4 (loud).

The vario is configured using an intuitive text file. If you're having trouble with the vario or aren't sure how to adjust a setting, refer tothis file.

Flight Log

We recommend LogFly as a flight log. Intuitive and compatible with XC Tracer, LogFly handles everything automatically and provides a wealth of interesting information and statistics.
