Book: "Chase Across the Alps"

Relive the 2015 Red Bull X-Alps through the stories of the three French pilots: Antoine, Gaspard, and Nelson take us on a thrilling chase across the Alps. Amid breathtaking landscapes, they plunge us into the heart of the adventure, allowing us to fully appreciate the physical toll it took. Through a mix of setbacks and smart decisions, we also get a glimpse into the daily lives of the teams, all driven by a single goal: to land on the raft in Monaco!
Race format: Pilots must cross the entire Alpine arc from Salzburg, Austria, to Monaco on the Mediterranean coast, passing through Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and France along the way. To do so, they can either use their paragliders to fly across the mountain ranges when weather permits, or—a much longer and more exhausting option—hike on foot with their gear on their backs. Along the route, they must pass through designated checkpoints, which they must either sign in at or simply fly over. They are supported and assisted by helpers who provide them with supplies, set up their campsites, advise them on tactical decisions, and join them on some flights. A short glossary is available at the end of the book to explain the few technical terms that appear throughout the narrative.
