CONTOUR

The CONTOUR is a simple loop-strap harness that meets the high demands of parakiting in the disciplines of soaring, snowkiting, speedflying, and speedriding. It is lightweight, comfortable, and durable, and is also equipped with an LTF 91/09-certified PERMAIR protector.

The seat shell perfectly cradles the body and ensures a high level of comfort while remaining lightweight. When designing the geometry and flight dynamics, care was taken to ensure that the harness is intuitive, easy, and safe to use during coastal soaring as well as in alpine conditions.

Since the FLARE harness for our parakites does not require accelerators or cumbersome pulleys, the CONTOUR’s weight could be reduced even further. The minimalist-designed back pocket, with a 15-liter capacity, offers space for your packbag, the mouthpiece for filling the PERMAIR protector, and small everyday items.

The PERMAIR protector combines the advantages of foam and ram-air protectors. PERMAIR offers maximum shock absorption with minimal weight and space requirements in the backpack.

The CONTOUR's modular design makes it possible to separate the protector from the seat shell in just a few simple steps.

Features

Your CONTOUR harness will be delivered as a complete set consisting of the PERMAIR protector and the CONTOUR seat. We strongly recommend flying the harness with a protector, but as a responsible FLARE pilot, you are of course aware of this.

PERMAIR Protector

At the very top of our to-do list for the CONTOUR’s development was the integration of Skywalk PERMAIR technology, in order to offer one of the lightest LTF 91/09-certified harnesses. The CONTOUR’s weight and pack size are therefore specifically optimized for FLARE pilots.

Easy to use

The CONTOUR eliminates bulky buckles and adjustment straps. The elastic shoulder straps adapt to your size, ensure an optimal fit during the launch phase, and rest comfortably on your shoulders while in flight. Red and blue marked seams in the loops improve visibility, while small Salewa sling protectors prevent the carabiners from twisting in the straps. In flight, insulating foam throughout the seat and elastic, curved, comfortable tubes on either side of your legs ensure an extremely comfortable fit and protect against the cold.

Go FLARE Ultralight

The CONTOUR is ultra-compact when packed. A small, narrow pocket holds the ultra-lightweight harness, allowing you to pack it inside your Dreamcatcher backpack alongwith your MOUSTACHE. Its one-size-fits-all design accommodates heights from 1.65 to 1.95 meters. That's all you need!

PERMAIR 2.0

The latest generation of Skywalks PERMAIR protectors features a practical inflate/deflate check valve that makes inflating your protector significantly easier. PERMAIR 2.0 protectors can be inflated with minimal effort using the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece includes a moisture filter to minimize moisture ingress and is included in the CONTOUR package.

Storage Bag

Your harness comes in a thin bag that can hold the entire harness, including the protector.

Because of its narrow shape, you can easily slip it into your Dreamcatcher bag along with your MOUSTACHE.

As soon as you fly, you can also use this bag to store other accessories and pack it into the back pocket of the CONTOUR.

PERMAIR Mouthpiece

The protector provides the best protection when fully inflated and can be inflated using the PERMAIR mouthpiece.

We recommend using an inflation aid, such as a mouthpiece, because moist breathing air can cause condensation and, as a result, mold growth.

The mouthpiece can be stored in the elastic loops on the back pocket of the CONTOUR.

TECHNICAL DATA

The CONTOUR is certified to EN 1651/1999 and also to LTF91/09with the PERMAIR protector.

The CONTOUR is defined as a lightweight sport aircraft with an empty weight of less than 100 kg in the paraglider category.

The many certification tests are the final hurdle in the development of a FLARE harness.

The certification tests are conducted only when the test team is fully satisfied with the harness development.
