The History of Chouka
As an engineer with a passion for paragliding and the mountains, I wanted to create a lightweight, simple, and reliable variometer. It all started with a first prototype I cobbled together by hand, housed in a Tic Tac box and humorously nicknamed the“vario tictac.” Through successive improvements and test flights, that first prototype evolved into the Chouka variometer.
