With the help of our X-Alps athletes and feedback from pilots who are fans of the RANGE X-ALPS2, we’ve succeeded in perfecting the highly sought-after previous version with the RANGE X-ALPS3.
The RANGE X-ALPS3 was designed primarily for cross-country pilots seeking weight optimization in a compact package. To achieve this, the geometry and seat shell were engineered for exceptional flying comfort, which can be further enhanced by numerous features. The harness can be used in both a reclined and an upright position. The settings can be easily adjusted to suit flight conditions. This ensures you feel secure even in turbulent conditions, and in such cases, you can quickly sit up straight and adopt a compact position.
The aerodynamic profile allows you to maintain power and efficiency during extended flights and long glides. The harness’s longitudinal stability can be enhanced with stabilizers. This feature is a useful tool—especially for high-performance pilots—for staying on course with maximum efficiency.

Aerodynamic rear fairing
The RAM-partitioned fairing inflates as air flows in, reorganizing the airflow behind the pilot. This significantly reduces drag and improves gliding performance.
Power Frame Chassis
The Power Frame distributes pressure evenly across the entire seat and provides optimal support without pressure points—ensuring a comfortable flight!
Front-mounted emergency container with cockpit
The cockpit provides space for several flight instruments, and the reserve parachute is optimally positioned within the pilot's field of vision. The Y-style reserve lines are attached to the shoulders, just as in conventional harnesses.
Sandwich Seat
The seat shell is filled with closed-cell foam, which provides additional thermal insulation and enhances seating comfort.
RECCO® Reflector
The RECCO® reflector gives emergency responders an additional chance to locate a missing person (for example, in densely forested areas).
Device for a hydration system
The hydration bladder can be secured in the rear storage compartment. The tube is connected to the shoulder strap through an opening.
Optional Accessories
DESK
The DESK is a pouch with a built-in cockpit that attaches to the shoulder straps and the chest bag. It provides extra comfort, especially during long cross-country flights. In addition to a storage compartment with a cable outlet for a battery, it features an expandable storage area for granola bars and similar items. This compartment is easily accessible at any time during the flight. Flight instruments do not need to be removed for transport, so they can be quickly detached from the harness and stored safely.

PERMAIR PUMP
The small electric pump is the most convenient filling option for the PERMAIR protection system. With a 3,600 mAh battery, it also doubles as a power bank and weighs just 150 g.
