The RANGE X-ALPS embodies the ultra-light cocoon harness class – a class that combines features that are almost impossible to combine. With the help of our X-Alps athletes and feedback from the pilots who were convinced by the RANGE X-ALPS2, we have succeeded in perfecting its coveted predecessor with the RANGE X-ALPS3.
The RANGE X-ALPS3 was designed primarily for cross-country pilots looking for optimized weight in a compact package. To this end, the geometry and seat shell were designed for high flying comfort, which can be enhanced with numerous features. The harness can be used in both the reclined and upright positions. The adjustment can be easily adapted to the flight conditions. This way, you feel safe even in turbulence, and in this case, you can quickly straighten up and adopt a compact position.
The streamlined silhouette allows you to remain powerful and efficient during extended flights and long glides. The longitudinal stability of the harness can be increased with stabilizers. This feature is a useful tool, especially for high-performance pilots, to maintain the course with maximum efficiency.

Every space has been cleverly optimized in the development of the RANGE X-ALPS3. The optimally arranged storage compartments offer sufficient space, even on long tours. Although the weight starting at 1.95 kg and the pack size are kept to a minimum, we have placed great emphasis on ease of use. Thanks to its intuitive handling, the RANGE X-ALPS3 is suitable for both Hike&Fly competition pilots and cross-country pilots.

Aerodynamic rear fairing
The RAM bulkhead fairing inflates with incoming air and recombines the flow behind the pilot. This significantly improves drag and increases glide performance.
Power Frame chassis
The Power Frame distributes forces evenly across the entire seat and provides optimal support without pressure points – great flight comfort is guaranteed!
Ventral rescue container with cockpit
The cockpit offers space for several flight instruments and, together with the reserve parachute, is optimally located in the pilot's field of vision. The reserve Y lines are connected to the shoulders as in conventional harnesses.
Sandwich seat
The seat shell is equipped with closed porous foam, which provides additional thermal insulation and increases seating comfort.
RECCO® Reflector
The RECCO® reflector gives emergency services an additional chance to locate a missing person (e.g. in densely wooded areas).
Device for hydration system
The hydration bladder can be attached to the rear storage compartment. The hose is connected to the shoulder strap through an opening.
Optional accessories
DESK
The DESK is a pocket with an integrated cockpit that attaches to the shoulder straps as well as the chest container. It provides additional comfort, especially during long cross-country flights. In addition to a storage compartment with a cable outlet for a battery, it offers additional expandable storage for cereal bars and similar items. This compartment is easily accessible at any time during the flight. The flight instruments do not need to be removed for transport, so they can be quickly separated from the harness and safely stowed away.
Optional accessories
PERMAIR PUMP
The small electric pump is the most convenient way to fill the PERMAIR protection. With a 3600 mAh battery, it also serves as a power bank and weighs only 150 g.
