The RANGE X-ALPS embodies the class of ultra-light cocoon harnesses – a class that combines features that are almost impossible to combine. With the help of our X-Alps athletes and feedback from pilots who are fans of the RANGE X-ALPS2, we have succeeded in perfecting the coveted previous version with the RANGE X-ALPS3.
The RANGE X-ALPS3 was designed primarily for cross-country pilots looking for optimized weight in a compact harness. To achieve this, the geometry and seat shell were designed for maximum flying comfort, which can be further enhanced by a number of features. The harness can be used in both a reclined and upright position. The adjustment can be easily adapted to flight conditions. This means you feel safe even in turbulence, and in this case, you can quickly sit up and adopt a compact position.
The aerodynamic silhouette allows you to remain powerful and efficient during extended flights and long glides. The longitudinal stability of the harness can be increased with stabilizers. This feature is a useful tool, especially for high-performance pilots, to stay on course with maximum efficiency.

Every space has been carefully optimized in the development of the RANGE X-ALPS3. The optimally arranged storage compartments offer sufficient space, even on long trips. Although the weight starting at 1.95 kg and the size of the bag are kept to a minimum, we have focused on ease of use. Thanks to its intuitive handling, the RANGE X-ALPS3 is suitable for both Hike&Fly competition pilots and cross-country pilots.

Aerodynamic rear fairing
The RAM baffle fairing inflates under the effect of incoming air and recombines the flow behind the pilot. This significantly improves drag and increases glide performance.
Power Frame chassis
The Power Frame distributes forces evenly across the entire seat and provides optimal support without pressure points – ensuring maximum comfort during flight!
Ventral rescue container with cockpit
The cockpit offers space for several flight instruments and, together with the reserve parachute, is optimally positioned in the pilot's field of vision. The Y-shaped reserve lines are connected to the shoulders as in conventional harnesses.
Sandwich seat
The seat shell is equipped with closed-cell foam, which provides additional thermal insulation and increases seating comfort.
RECCO® reflector
The RECCO® reflector gives rescue services an additional chance to locate a missing person (e.g., in densely wooded areas).
Hydration system device
The hydration bladder can be secured in the rear storage compartment. The tube is connected to the shoulder strap through an opening.
Optional accessories
DESK
The DESK is a pocket with an integrated cockpit that attaches to the shoulder straps and the ventral container. It offers additional comfort, especially during long cross-country flights. In addition to a storage compartment with a cable outlet for a battery, it offers additional expandable storage for energy bars and other similar items. This compartment is easily accessible at any time during the flight. Flight instruments do not need to be removed for transport, so they can be quickly separated from the harness and stored safely.

PERMAIR PUMP
The small electric pump is the most convenient filling option for PERMAIR protection. With a battery capacity of 3600 mAh, it also serves as a power bank and weighs just 150 g.
