Ozone Zeno 2 Paraglider

Four years after its release, the Zeno is still at the top of the EN D class, and we knew it would be difficult to replace it. After two years of intense R&D, we are proud to have designed a worthy successor.

Character

The comfort and ease of use that made the Zeno so successful had to be maintained. That's why the length and number of cells are unchanged on the Zeno 2, in addition to increased passive safety – with improved recoveries in frontal or asymmetric collapses.

Performance

The Zeno 2 has a new profile, a higher positive Cm (reflex) and a rearward opening. These technical developments significantly increase the maximum speed and improve glide ratio across the entire speed range. Slightly faster with high arms than the Zeno and much faster when accelerated to the max, the Zeno 2 is on par with the Enzo 3 in terms of both speed and glide ratio. The maximum speed (7 km/h faster than the Zeno) is very high and is particularly useful for the final glide in competition.

The Sensations

Overall, the Zeno 2 transmits slightly more information than the Zeno, but still in an understandable way. The wing remains comfortable and reassuring for pilots in this category. The finer sensitivity it provides allows you to better center the thermal, follow the lift lines, and feel the air mass. The optimization of the internal structure provides an incredible feeling of cohesion when climbing in a turbulent thermal. Covid caused a delay, which ultimately gave us more time to fine-tune the handling—the response to control inputs is precise and dynamic, giving it greater agility than the Zeno.

Takeoff

The improved handling and cohesion of the wing are noticeable during inflation and allow for a flawless takeoff. The Zeno 2 inflates easily from any position on the ground, even without wind. Apart from perhaps the Zeolite, the Zeno 2 is the 2-line wing with the easiest takeoff.

The Pilot

The Zeno 2 is designed specifically for highly experienced cross-country pilots who fly at least 100 hours per year, have acquired advanced SIV skills, and are looking for the performance necessary to achieve record-breaking cross-country flights or compete in competitions.
