Néo Stringpack 2.0 String Harness with Backpack
Description
Description
The Stringpack is making a big comeback, nearly 10 years after the first version and a stint as the Shorty. It’s still the same concept: a proven harness, the String 3.0, and a backpack, combined to create a convertible pack/harness. Like all our lightweight products, the Stringpack is very easy to use and lets you focus on what matters most: walking and flying. Our ripstop fabric combined with Dyneema offers a balance of lightness and durability that we’ve thoroughly tested.
NON-REVERSIBLE CONVERTIBLE
The Stringpack is not a reversible harness.
The back panel and shoulder straps are the same in both flight and hiking modes. This design saves weight and reduces the pack’s bulk, making the entire system easier to use.
The bag is also positioned more effectively during the flight.
GEOMETRY
ABS THIGH-HIGH BOOTS
The Stringpack incorporates the thigh-strap geometry developed more than 10 years ago with the first generations of the String. This geometry provides excellent stability and steering precision. No belly strap adjustment is necessary, as the geometry easily adapts to the pilot’s body type.
This type of design allows the harness to open from the front. The leg loops clip directly into the main carabiner, making it very easy to get into the harness, even while wearing skis or crampons.
3D SHAPING
The Stringpack is no exception to our rule for creating the fabric structure: 3D shaping. By assembling the fabric panels, we give the structure its shape to provide support and comfort.
VOLUME HIKE 55L / FLY 40L
The Stringpack has a carrying capacity of 55 liters, making it suitable for a wide range of paragliders, from mountain wings to certain small EN-B wings. For some bulky wings, it is recommended to pack them in a compression sack.
In the air, the volume is reduced by 15 liters to prevent the load from shifting down toward the lower back.
A large front pocket lets you quickly stow an item of clothing, for example, without having to open the entire bag.
A top opening in the bag allows you to store the reserve parachute and helmet.
WEIGHT: 1,150 g
Stringpack 2.0 870 g
+ Koroyd PROPACK 150 g
+ Austrialpin Rocket NEO carabiners 2 x 65 g
KOROYD PROTECTION
NEO protective gear uses Koroyd technology to provide ultra-lightweight and innovative impact protection. Koroyd tubes deform instantly and uniformly upon impact. They absorb maximum force in a controlled manner, minimizing the energy transferred to your back.
PROTECTION Permair Thong
The Stringpack is equipped with attachment points on the
leg straps for installing the String Permair protection. This protection uses the PERMAIR technology
developed by Skywalk. The protection is
EN, LTF, and CE certified. It weighs 410 g. It inflates using the inflation bag provided with the protection.
DYNEEMA FABRIC
The technical collaboration between the Catalan textile manufacturer IBQ and NEO has led to the development of a ripstop fabric featuring Dyneema fibers on a high-tenacity polyamide base, all coated with polyurethane. This highly technical fabric combines the characteristics required for lightweight products used in paragliding and outdoor sports:
- Extremely tear- and abrasion-resistant
- Low elongation
- No deformation
- Doesn't get very dirty and is machine washable (30 °C max)
- Very lightweight: The best balance of durability and lightness
The Stringpack is equipped with a Booomtag chip. This is an NFC chip (a near-field communication system for smartphones) that contains product information and allows the product's ownership to be registered.
