The joy of flying—life is sweet and beautiful! The EPIC 2 offers impeccable passive safety and a super fun flying experience. It’s the perfect wing for playing around at the launch site, trying out cross-country flying, or getting started with freestyle.
The EPIC 2 is reassuring and accessible for pilots with limited flight hours. But its fun handling and performance will also delight more experienced pilots.
We’ve improved its inflation: the wing rises smoothly and easily without passing the pilot. In flight, it’s slightly faster than the EPIC (+1 km/h with arms raised, +3 km/h at top speed) and has better glide ratio. It’s also a super-agile wing in thermals and formidable in light conditions.
Its long control travel ensures you won’t stall or spin out unintentionally, yet its handling remains precise, playful, and direct. The EPIC 2 is safe and reassuring in lively conditions, and its progressive stability ensures you always have the right amount of feedback from the air mass. The wing’s feedback is the key to our “Eyes Wide Open” technology: the wing conveys the right information about the air mass so you can improve your positioning in thermals, as well as anticipate and avoid collapses.
Like the BASE 2, the new EPIC 2 features a specialized rear-control system connecting the B and C lines, allowing you to control the wing while using the speed bar to fly faster and more efficiently.

Designer's Notes
The EPIC was an incredible wing in the EN-B access category. Its combination of accessibility, safety, and maneuverability set the standard, and it was very important to us to preserve that balance. The new EPIC 2 retains these qualities while offering improved glide ratio and incredible thermal efficiency—with the added bonus of slightly higher speed compared to the original.
Although it boasts the same qualities, a lot has changed between the designs of the two wings. The new EPIC 2 now features 45 cells and an aspect ratio of 5.2—slightly higher than on the first EPIC. Its internal structure is also more complex, but despite all this, the wing retains the same weight: 4.9 kg in size M. The risers are completely new, and the line configuration features a mix of unsheathed lines at the top and sheathed lines at the bottom.
The Epic 2 has short stiffeners along the leading edge and none along the trailing edge, so it’s easy to pack. The one-piece leading-edge plastics are made of different materials: stiffer struts in the central section and softer, more flexible supports toward the tips. It’s a lightweight, elegant, and effective way to shape the leading edge.
As with the BASE 2 and the CURE 2, we have also doubled the leading edge’s underside, creating an internal flap that helps maintain pressure and results in a more stable and clean leading edge.
