La SPIRIT répond aux besoins des pilotes qui recherchent un poids minimal, un petit volume et un pilotage agréable. Lors du développement de ce projet ‘poids plume’, nous nous sommes concentrés sur un volume de pliage et un poids minimals, mais une prise en main aisée et un plaisir de vol maximals. Avec son poids ultra-léger de 1,75 kg, le pilote peut se composer un pack pesant moins de 4 kg en la combinant avec la sellette CORE et le secours TAPA X-ALPS.

Depending on your weight and skill level, you can choose the size that best suits your needs: the smaller sizes are ideal for dynamic flying, for quickly descending from a summit, and for days with strong winds. In the larger sizes, the SPIRIT can be used for introductory flying and is therefore also suitable for paragliding beginners who prefer cross-country flying.

Details

The compact wing allows for takeoffs from even the smallest areas; a slight push is all it takes for the wing to rise reliably above the pilot. Because the wing generates lift quickly, the distance between the takeoff point and the point where the pilot becomes airborne is correspondingly shorter, making even takeoffs from technically challenging terrain possible.

In the air, the SPIRIT responds quickly and directly to inputs thanksto its small wingspan andcompact line configuration.
Depending on size and wing loading, the responses vary greatly.Its range of applications is therefore very diverse. With a high wing loading, the SPIRIT can be flown very dynamically, whereas with a low wing loading, it is well-suited for thermals.

Despite its light weight, the SPIRIT was not designed solely as an ultralight descent glider; it also offers sufficient performance to exit long valleys and—depending on the wing loading—can also be used for thermal flying.

JET FLAPS

Enormous safety margin at the stall threshold, making it easier to climb in thermals, particularly in narrow, powerful thermals. Increases control travel up to the stall.

SHARK NOSE

When combined with a properly designed wing, shark nose technology significantly improves pressure distribution within the wing. Benefits: much greater stability in flight and a substantial performance boost, particularly during accelerated flight.

RIGID FOIL

Nylon threads keep the leading edge and airfoil in shape and ensure a more consistent dynamic air pressure. Benefits: improved takeoff performance and enhanced overall performance.

3D SHAPING

A precise calculation of the leading-edge geometry and the addition of an extra strip of fabric reduce creasing in this sensitive part of the wing. Benefits: precise wing shape, improved performance.

MINI RIBS

Doubling the number of cells at the trailing edge significantly improves shape retention. Advantage: fewer vortices improve aerodynamics and, therefore, performance.

LOOPS & HOOKS

Loops on the upper surface that allow for and facilitate takeoff from steep or slippery terrain.

AUTOMATIC SAND RELEASE SYSTEM

Sand and other debris automatically drain out through openings sewn into the stabilizers, which protects the equipment and increases safety when flying over the dunes.
