Ozone Swift 6 paraglider

The Swift 6 is the lightweight version of the Rush 6. Using lighter materials and highly optimized construction techniques, the weight of the wing has been reduced by 900g. By reducing inertia, the wing is more agile and easier to inflate. Like the Alpina 4 from which it is derived, the Swift 6 is equipped with all the performance-enhancing technologies found in the Enzo and Zeno, giving it the best glide ratio and cross-country performance in its class.

Takeoff

Inflation is clearly improved and takeoff in zero wind is now at the level of our easiest wings: it climbs with little effort and responds perfectly to corrections. In strong winds, it is easy to control and does not tend to overtake the pilot.

Agility

In flight, the Swift 6 is a true gem: precise and dynamic handling, high top speed, it has formidable efficiency in cross-country. The brakes provide precise handling from the start of the race and great authority beyond. The structure maintains perfect cohesion of the sail across the span and chord, giving the sail incredible agility that increases efficiency in lift.

New Technologies

The wing's strength in accelerated flight has been increased by adopting a new profile and optimizing the internal structure, not forgetting the "ACR" risers. The Swift 6's structure, the strongest we have developed, allows the profile to maintain its integrity even in turbulent air, avoiding efficiency losses associated with deformations along the chord. The Active Controlled Risers (ACR) inherited from the Delta 4 allow the pilot to control the angle of attack without changing the profile camber. By acting on both the B and C risers, the ACR gives the pilot control similar to 2-lines on a 3-line wing.

The aspect ratio remains deliberately moderate to maintain the ease of use, flight pleasure and passive safety of previous models. Performance gains have been achieved through a 3/2-line hybrid line system, new 3D cutting patterns of the leading edge and an optimization of the trailing edge mini-ribs, resulting in a significant reduction in parasitic drag and ultimately greater glide ratio and speed.

Hundreds of flight hours have been accumulated in the turbulent air of the Southern Alps to ensure that the high level of passive safety we demand is achieved. The Swift 6 is perfectly in line with our philosophy of True Performance – glide ratio and speed that can actually be used in the active air conditions encountered in cross-country flying, and this across the entire speed range.

The Pilot

The Swift 6 is very accessible and a wide range of pilots will have a lot of fun flying it. It is EN B certified and ideal for intermediate recreational pilots with experience and cross-country pilots who fly at least 50 hours a year and have already completed a SIV.
