Chouka Balls: Steering Grips with Brakes (pair)

Dimensions

Chouka Balls are available in two sizes:

• ⌀ 30 mm: takes up minimal space in the cockpit.
• ⌀ 40 mm: better grip, especially when wearing thick gloves

Compatible with simple brake controls or swivels with a maximum diameter of ⌀ 8.2 mm (standard ⌀ 8 mm).

Editing

Installation is quick and easy—it takes less than a minute, requires no tools, and doesn't require disconnecting your sail:

1. Slide the brake line into the slot in the steering ball.
2. Slide it until it stops against the brake control (over the swivel).
3. Tie off the remaining end of the brake line to prevent the ball from slipping.
   If the remaining end is too short, use an extra piece of brake line to secure it.
4. Make sure this does not change your brake clearance.
   • In the event of a minor modification, make sure—when inflating the wing and during the first test flight—that the trailing edge of the wing is not restrained in the “arms up” or accelerated position.
   • Extend your brake lines if necessary.

Security and Pre-Flight Checks

Before each flight, check to make sure the balls do not get tangled with other lines and that they are securely fastened so they stay in place along the line.
