Ozone Rapido 3 and 3SL Speed-flying Wings

Ozone Rapido 3: Exceptional versatility in speedflying

The Ozone Rapido 3 is a speedflying wing designed to adapt to a wide variety of terrains and slopes. It stands out for its remarkable launch behavior and high in-flight stability, while delivering the performance expected by experienced pilots.

Speed has been improved across the entire trim range.
With trims closed, the wing offers better glide performance and optimized glide ratio.
With trims open, the Rapido 3 reaches high speeds and allows for very dynamic trajectories, featuring precise and engaged carving.

When ordering, you can choose between two line configurations:

• Edelrid 8000U unsheathed lines for enhanced performance and weight savings
• Liros DSL sheathed lines for greater robustness and durability

Technology and aerodynamic efficiency

The development of the Rapido 3 focused on reducing drag and improving aerodynamic efficiency. These optimizations increase both the speed and the glide ratio of the wing.

The new line layout and optimized canopy tension widen the operational envelope across various slope types while maintaining excellent stability at high speeds.

A lightweight and durable wing

The Rapido 3 features laser-cut diagonals, which reduce weight while maintaining excellent structural strength.

A lighter wing also has less inertia, which improves handling and responsiveness in flight. The materials used for the upper and lower surfaces have been selected for their durability and wear resistance, ensuring a long lifespan for the glider.

These features particularly facilitate:

• launches on various slopes
• rapid corner entry
• dynamic maneuvers close to terrain

Which pilot is it for?

The Rapido 3 is aimed at pilots who have already acquired solid experience in speedflying. It is particularly suited for pilots with at least one season under a heavily loaded intermediate wing, such as an Ozone Fazer.

Its speed range, handling, and excellent flare near the ground allow pilots to fully exploit the potential of speedflying.

Sizes and wing loading

The Rapido 3 is available in several sizes, from 6 m² to 15 m², allowing wing loading to be adjusted according to skill level and flying style.

• 6 m²: designed for expert pilots with experience in very fast wings
• 8 to 13 m²: wide weight range for the majority of speedflying pilots
• 15 m²: more accessible version, suitable for a larger number of pilots
