Ozone Rush 6 Paraglider
The Rush 6 is the wing with the best glide ratio and best cross-country performance in its category. During its development, we conducted extensive comparisons in which the Rush 6 showed that it had a significant performance advantage over all the wings we compared it to. Like the Delta 4 from which it is directly derived, the Rush 6 is equipped with all the performance-enhancing technologies found in the Enzo and Zeno.
True Performance
Hundreds of flight hours have been accumulated in the turbulent aerology of the Southern Alps to ensure that the high level of passive safety we demand is achieved. The Rush 6 is perfectly in line with our philosophy of True Performance - its excellent glide ratio is there in the active aerological conditions encountered in cross-country flying and throughout the entire speed range.
New Technologies
The wing's strength in accelerated flight has been further increased by adopting a new profile and optimizing the internal structure, not forgetting the "ACR" risers which allow active control without weakening the profile. The structure of the Rush 6, the strongest we have developed, allows the integrity of the profile to be maintained even in turbulent aerology, avoiding the loss of efficiency associated with deformations along the chord.
ACR system
The new Active Control Risers, inherited from the Delta 4, allow you to control the angle of attack without changing the camber of the profile. By acting on both the B and C risers, the ACR allows you to control the wing like a 2-line while maintaining the comfort of a 3-line architecture.
Design
In its design, the Rush 6 is an extension of the Delta 4 and they are similar in every way. The aspect ratio remains deliberately moderate to maintain the ease of use, the pleasure in flight and the passive safety of the previous Rush. The performance gains were obtained by work on the line plan which is now in 3/2-lines, new 3D cutting patterns of the leading edge and an optimization of the trailing edge mini-ribs, which ultimately results in a significant reduction of parasitic drag and therefore more performance across the entire speed polar.
Patented Shark Nose Profile
We haven't rested on our laurels and the SharkNose profile has evolved significantly since Ozone invented it in 2011. The version fitted to the Rush 6 not only provides increased stability, performance and comfort, but it is also robust in the event of over-steering, making the wing particularly resistant to stalling and spinning. The leading edge is equipped with G-strings that help maintain its shape in accelerated flight and reduce its vibration, which reduces drag.
Takeoff
The inflation is clearly improved over that of the Rush 5. We worked on the leading edge until we achieved a zero-wind takeoff comparable to that of our easiest wings: it climbs with little effort and with an easy-to-measure speed. In strong winds, it controls well and does not tend to overtake the pilot.
In Flight
In flight, a little more top speed and more dynamic piloting sensations give the impression that you've put a turbo on the Rush, it's closer to the Delta in terms of sensations. The pressure in the controls evolves linearly - precise in the first part and authoritative in the second. The structure maintains the perfect cohesion of the wing on the span and the chord, a plus for the performance in lift.
The Pilot
Very accessible yet playful, with a high top speed and a high level of passive safety, the Rush 6 is a wing that a very wide range of pilots will have a lot of fun with. Certified EN B, it is ideal for intermediate level recreational pilots with some experience and cross-country pilots who fly at least 50 hours a year.
