The BV1 is designed to accompany you on the most demanding ski touring expeditions. Our R&D team has successfully combined robustness and comfort in a lightweight harness whose practicality and efficiency make it the ideal tool for ski touring. Everything about this harness, from the choice of fabrics to the architecture of the structure, has been designed to withstand intensive use in the mountains. It is the harness for the most extreme fly-bivouac expeditions, the one Antoine Girard chose to accompany him to the depths of the Himalayas and up to Broad Peak, above which he reached a record altitude of 8,400m.
Inflatable protection under a large part of the body, enough storage space to carry everything you need on an expedition, and even loops to hold a solar panel during flight, as well as an anti-forget system capable of retaining the pilot, make the BV1 a harness apart that embodies the philosophy of "everything you need, nothing you don't."

Inflatable Protection

The storage compartments are designed so that the back protection can be inflated even when all your equipment is in place, and so that the harness is comfortable in flight even when loaded with all your bivouac kit.

Storage Volumes

The compartment under the seat is easily accessible via a horizontal opening, allowing you to store heavy and bulky equipment such as a stove, tent, and walking sticks (hopefully you won't need them too much).

The rear compartment is accessed via a double-slider zipper and magnetic closure. Part of this pocket is dedicated to the hydration bladder, with an outlet for the tube above the shoulder.

The pocket located under the cockpit easily accommodates an external battery.

The pocket above the cocoon is easily accessible and ideal for a camera and anything else you need to grab on the fly.

The left pocket is large enough to hold a camera mount or other accessories.

Solar Panel Mounting Systems

Loops designed to secure a solar panel are located on top of the cocoon, allowing it to be positioned facing the sun once in flight to recharge your batteries.

Architecture and Comfort

Nitinol rods improve back support, while carbon rods are placed under the seat, improving comfort and facilitating a quick transition to a standing position for slightly technical summit landings. The wide leg loops provide the comfort and sensitivity of a bucket seat. Finally, the leg straps can be opened to make it easy to put on the harness, even when loaded.
