The F*Race2 is an ultra-light walking and flying cocoon. Its development was guided by the most demanding pilots in the Team. With a size M starting at 1.62 kg, we have gone to great lengths to satisfy pilots who push the limits of their adventures, while maintaining great comfort and optimal durability.

The Pilot
Even with a surprising level of comfort and accessibility for this type of harness, we do not recommend it as a first harness. However, you don't need to be competing in the X-Alps to enjoy a comfortable and sufficiently durable harness. It is designed for everyday use by pilots who want a compact bag for walking to a remote launch site or for traveling light with a harness suitable for cross-country flying.
It is remarkably durable for its category, you just need to take the same care with a lightweight harness as you would with a lightweight wing.
Technology
The innovative structure of the F*Race2 is based on a 3D model made of Dyneema fibers that has been designed to follow the anatomy. Damien Lacaze enjoyed its comfort for over 11 hours while completing the longest flight in the history of the X-Alps.
There are pockets accessible during flight on each side of the cocoon for a camera or other equipment. The large rear storage pocket has a sleeve for a water bladder and a compartment for walking sticks, in addition to the large compartment under the seat. Batteries can easily be stored in the cockpit pocket. The removable cockpit is ideal for bulky instruments and can be connected to a front pocket if you want more accessible storage during flight.
Safety and Certification
The ventral compartment of the reserve is well integrated, its handle is easily accessible, and the reserve straps are connected to the shoulders.
We used innovative, more effective inflatable protection with an internal compartment. It is also very quick to inflate—in Hike & Fly races, every second counts, and a new 50-gram pump inflates it very quickly. The protection can also be inflated using the bag supplied with the product. A release valve allows the protection to be deflated quickly. A tube also allows it to be inflated in flight.
The F*Race 2 is certified according to EN 1651-2018 for riders weighing up to 110kg. The inflatable protection that extends from the thighs to above the lower back is certified with a maximum acceleration of less than 33.27gduringimpact.
In Flight
A fixed thigh strap speeds up harnessing and prevents forgetting, with only four steps needed to get ready (including the chest clip). When inflated, the wing is easy to handle thanks to its flexible structure, which improves mobility on rough takeoffs. The reinforcements and EVA foam elements have been cleverly positioned to limit pressure points.
In flight, the harness controls are effective and easy to modulate, and the stabilization system (with adjustable ABS) is comfortable in turbulence. The long rear fairing and smooth cocoon improve glide ratio and stability.
