The THETA ULS is EN/LTF B certified and is designed for pilots who have several years of experience, fly regularly (more than 40 hours per year), and already have significant experience with thermal flying.
It requires active control using the controls, the throttle, and/or the handles on the C-wings. Pilots must be able to identify wing distortions as soon as they occur and counteract them with appropriate control inputs. In addition, they must be thoroughly familiar with standard rapid descent techniques and be able to implement them if necessary.
The THETA ULS takes you into unspoiled nature, far from crowded launch sites. With its minimal weight, maximum comfort, and true performance, it will inspire you to embark on new adventures and motivate you to push your limits. Our new high-performance intermediate wing is based on the ultralight construction of the OMEGA ULS.

TECHNOLOGIES & FEATURES
ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE
The centerpiece of the THETA ULS is its delicate internal structure, first developed for the OMEGA ULS. Thanks to feedback from countless competitions, we have refined both the maximum possible cutouts in the profile’s ribs (micro crossports) and the complex diagonal structures using Sliced Diagonals technology. Furthermore, only the lightest materials—including nitinol rods—are used.
NEW PROFILE FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE AND FLIGHT COMFORT
The new-generation profile features an ideal pressure distribution across the entire depth of the profile, which helps balance pitch. This ensures high performance and reduced wing tension, resulting in a comfortable ride by optimally absorbing turbulence. In addition, lift distribution is centered along the wingspan, generating less lift at the wingtips and thus less leverage. This results in a calm and comfortable flight experience.
EFFECTIVE PITCH CONTROL SYSTEM
By actively flying using the C-controls, you fully harness the THETA ULS’s performance potential. The modern pitch control system with C-controls supports you in this task. Commands are transmitted directly from the C-plane to the B-plane, ensuring that the airfoil does not deform. This allows you to optimally adjust the angle of attack without sacrificing performance.
EDELRID PRO DRY HIGH-TECH CLIMBING CARABINERS
The THETA ULS is equipped with lines that are extremely dimensionally stable and offer above-average tear resistance, even after numerous flights. The unsheathed Pro Dry lines are color-coded and are 60% more water-repellent than the lines in the previous generation.

I don't have much to compare it to (it's the only EN-B wing I've tested), but based on unanimous advice and reviews, I chose the Theta ULS, which should turn out to be perfect for my profile and desired use: high-mountain takeoffs, landings, and cross-country flying.
After a dozen flights in one week—including two 2h15m flights in November, topping out at a cloud base of 2750 m—I can say this is a truly precise glider that glides exceptionally well, feels thoroughly reassuring, and looks super nice :)

Switched to Theta ULS from an older low EN-B. The wing is absolutely fantastic. Very easy inflation, calm and easy to control in flight, communicates air without useless uncomfortable movements, very easy to turn in thermal at any radius you need. Nearly no glide angle loss on speedbar. Wingovers retain lots of energy - here it is clearly seen that this is not a low B wing :)
