Actual performance

The profile's high pitch stability conserves energy and converts it into performance, especially when gliding in turbulent air. Even higher performance results from the 4% reduction in line area and the sophisticated 3×3D shaping. The latter gives the IOTA DLS a perfectly smooth leading edge.

Lightweight and suitable for everyday use

Thanks to its DURABLE LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE, the IOTA DLS is available from 3.75 kg*. It is not only very light, but also 100% suitable for everyday use. Its longevity and robustness correspond to those of semi-lightweight products, which is why the IOTA DLS, as a lightweight wing, does not require any special care during use.

A relaxed flying experience

An optimized lift distribution, along with perfectly matched fabric tensions, results in maximum turbulence absorption. This results in pleasantly damped feedback from the wing, without losing important air mass information. Thanks to its extremely predictable flight behavior, the IOTA DLS offers a relaxed flying experience.

Durable Lightweight Structure (DLS)

3x3D-SHAPING

The further development of double 3D-Shaping is called 3×3D-Shaping. Thanks to even finer gradation, the highly curved and flow-sensitive leading edge area is smoothed even more. The result: a wrinkle-free leading edge and a smooth upper surface for greater performance.

EFFECTIVE PITCH CONTROL

The IOTA DLS features a modern pitch control system with C-line handles. The system transmits the impulses from the C-row to the B-row, so the profile does not deform. The wing thus remains controllable via the C/B-rows, even in accelerated flight, and ensures a real feeling of flying under a wing with two rows of lines.

ULTRAMODERN EDELRID PRO DRY SUSPENSION HOOK

The IOTA DLS is fully equipped with Edelrid's color-coded Pro Dry lines. This new generation of unsheathed lines is a further development of the proven Aramid 8000 lines and boasts 60% better water-repellency. Extremely stable in length, this line has an above-average breaking strength, even after prolonged use.
