Cross-country flying, but having fun! The new SIGMA DLS promises increased performance and fun by allowing you to roll with forgiving flight behavior. The new design of its internal structure makes this sporty cross-country wing not only more powerful, but also lighter. The Mini Ribs with nitinol rods on the leading edge and the Durable Lightweight Structure, which ideally balances lightness and strength, contribute to this. The SIGMA DLS is therefore available from 3.70 kg.

Performance gain

With the new profile, the front miniribs ensure that the leading edge, important for fluid mechanics, retains its precise shape. The resulting high profile stability contributes fundamentally to the performance gain of the SIGMA DLS (compared to the SIGMA 11). Overall, it continues to meet the usual requirements of pilots from the previous series.

A new sportiness

With the SIGMA DLS, cross-country (XC) enthusiasts can look forward to an excellent performance/demand ratio and, thanks to the proven three-line concept, rely on a forgiving character with safety reserves. The sporty cross-country model transmits pilot inputs precisely and directly, thus providing a playful flying experience in thermals.

Robust lightness

With DLS technology, the SIGMA series' more than 30-year tradition meets the future. Careful construction optimizations and an ideally matched material mix make the SIGMA DLS surprisingly light (available from 3.7 kg). The super-elastic Nitinol rods reduce the packing volume and increase longevity, as they do not deform even under heavy load.

DURABLE LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE (DLS)

DLS combines a series of small but important innovations that together enable significant weight reduction. The mix of lightweight and traditional materials is even better matched, and targeted geometric optimization saves even more material.

MINI RIBS ON THE LEADING EDGE

Nitinol Mini Ribs placed at the leading edge allow the wing to maintain a precise shape in this critical fluid mechanics area. The results of detailed calculations on the effect of the Mini Ribs demonstrate optimal profile fidelity in all flight conditions.

EFFECTIVE PITCH CONTROL

The SIGMA DLS features a modern Pitch Control System with C-line handles. The system transmits the impulses from the C-row to the B-row, so the profile does not deform. The wing thus remains controllable via the C/B-rows, even in accelerated flight, and ensures a real feeling of flying under a wing with two rows of lines.

EDELRID PRO DRY HIGH-TECH SUSPENSION HOOK

The SIGMA DLS is equipped with lines that are extremely length-stable and have above-average tear resistance, even after many flights. The unsheathed Pro Dry lines have differentiated colors and are 60% more water-repellent than the previous generation of lines.
