Lightweight cross harness
Like the LIGHTNESS 3, but better: the successor to this classic recumbent harness offers more comfort, even easier handling, and a sporty look. The fourth generation of the versatile harness will remain the ideal companion for relaxed long-distance flights in the future.
Comfort redefined
Thanks to the newly designed seat shell, the LIGHTNESS 4 is even more comfortable and ergonomic than its predecessor. It allows for fatigue-free and relaxed flying for many hours. Overall comfort can be further enhanced by the included windscreen, which reduces wind chill and wind noise.
Easy handling
In its fourth generation, the LIGHTNESS is even more maneuverable. This is aided by simple adjustment options, comfortable access to the cocoon, and excellent overview during flight. These features also facilitate the transition to a recumbent harness and provide a completely new flying experience.
Aerodynamic design
The LIGHTNESS 4's new rear spoiler offers improved aerodynamics, increased longitudinal stability, and a sporty look. Its moderate size allows it to deliver its benefits while remaining discreet during takeoff or flight.
Technologies & Features
NEW 3D BODY FITTING
The increased comfort is based on three factors: thanks to 3D body scans, the seat shell is adapted to the actual shape of the body, and the back is even better supported, as the body position in the harness has been moved slightly forward. The concept is complemented by a cushion effect thanks to the foam in the backrest.
Closure Remember System (CRS)
The Closure Remember System (CRS) has been redesigned and optimized for easier handling. The few steps required to close the speedbag reduce the likelihood of forgetting to fasten the lap belt before takeoff. In addition, the buckles are now anodized red, making them even more visible during visual inspection.
35% MORE POCKET SPACE
The LIGHTNESS 4's rear compartment has a capacity of 22.5 liters, 35% more than the LIGHTNESS 3, while the underseat storage compartment offers an additional 6.5 liters. In addition, there is a new 8-liter space at the front of the footrest.
A compact and practical cockpit
The new cockpit offers generous storage space and ease of use. Thanks to magnetic closures, the contents are easily accessible during flight and the cockpit can be packed compactly. The removable cockpit panel offers plenty of space and securing options for the vario. The LIGHTNESS 4 also comes with a windshield and a Hook Knife.
LIGHTPACK DLS included
The LIGHTNESS 4 comes with a LIGHTPACK DLS. The two products are perfectly matched to each other and form a compact and very comfortable complete system. With a weight starting at 620 g, ergonomic shoulder straps and a padded back section, the LIGHTPACK DLS combines low weight with the greatest possible comfort.
The LIGHTNESS series is known for its high comfort and is therefore popular with many cross-country riders. For the new LIGHTNESS 4, we worked on improving the seat geometry using 3D body scanners to further increase comfort. The new visual design, including the rear spoiler, completes the sporty appearance.
